Large Fomat Drawing and Plan Scanning
Whither you have one drawing to be scanned or 10,000+ we have the equipment and experience to handle the project.
Our large format scanners can capture any size from A5 to A0 wide and up to a staggering 18ft in length.
No two projects are rarely the same. We tailor the service to meet your individual needs.
We can supply specialist drawing transportation bags for your team to load, or our team can load directly from your existing storage systems - hanging bars, cabinets or archive room.
You will be assigned one of our project managers (PM) with 24/7 direct access to them.
If you or your colleagues require access to the drawing(s) once we have them, simply contact the PM who will arrange digital or hard copy versions to be sent to you ASAP.
1 - Preparation
Paper or Velo drawings tend to be in poor condition. With or without hanging bars, with torn or dog eared corners.
Our specialists will repair any torn items and ensure each drawing us unfolded / unrolled and is suitable for scanning.
2 - Scanning / Digitisation
We only use market leading ROWE high volume production large format scanners.
All records are digitise to mono, grayscale or colour format. Select either PDF, TIFF or Jpeg file formats.
Standard 300 dpi, although this can be increased to 1200 dpi if required.
3 - Data Entry / Indexing / Naming
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is standard.
Tailored naming conventions to ensure you can retrieve the information quickly and accurately.
Meta Data, CSV files and Data Extraction to ensure you can upload the data in to whatever your chosen electronic filing system.
4 - Cloud data hosting
Your completed scans and meta data, will be returned to you via our secure file transfer cloud system.
What happens next, is tailored to meet your needs.
Once you have received your scans, we will then hold the originals for a minimum of 4 weeks. Allowing you and your team time to review details, quality and accuracy.
We will then contact you with some choices.
Confidential Shredding
We will securely shred all originals to industry standard BS EN 15713. A certificate of destruction will be provided to you.
Archive Storage
Should you wish to retain the originals for longer, you can arrange to continue to store within our own onsite secure warehouse facility.
Drawings Returned
We can return the original files to you.
